VEVAY WOMAN DIES
Special to the Courier-Journal Vevay, Ind Feb. 13

Mrs. Atha B. Raisor, 68, died at 8 a.m. Monday at her home on Vevay Route 4. She had been ill a week. A native of Owen County, Kentucky, she had lived in Switzerland County since 1945. She was a member of the Richland Baptist Church, Owen County
Survivors include her husband, George Leonard Raisor; a son Herbert Raisor, Fountaintown, two daughters, Mrs. Bertie Adams, Lexington, Ky and Mrs. Margaret Robinson, Danville, KY.; two brothers and five sisters. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home here. Burial at McKay Cemetery

Atha was the oldest of the fourteen children and left home
before some of her siblings were born. Her younger brother remarked that her children seemed more like siblings to him than she. Although living in Indiana they visted Owen County often, keeping in touch with family throughout the years.
