Julia Elma Lore, 93, died suddenly at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper on Monday, July 25. She was the daughter of Frank and Mattie (Stanton) Eppenbach. She spent her childhood in Nebraska and moved to Douglas as a young women, where she met and married Floyd Bryan Lore on Aug. 27, 1920. They homesteaded north of Douglas for a number of years, later moving to the farm behind Chalk Buttes. After Mr. Lore's death in 1946, she moved with her family to the Brownfield Addition and went to work. She was employed at Converse County Memorial Hospital when it was still part of the old prisoner of war camp. She worked at the hospital until her retirement at age 62. She worked part-time for two years with the school hot lunch program. She is survived by six of her eight children, Dorothy Piles, Laurel Robidoux, Floyd (Pug) Lore, and Frank Lore, all of Douoglas; Wayne Lore of Casper, and Valjean Lore of Vista, Calif.; one sister, Mattie Primus of Sitka, Ala.; one brother, Elbert Eppenbach of Irrigon, Ore.; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Floyd Bryan Lore on June 22, 1946; and son Leonard Lore and daughter Mildred Chierici, both earlier this year.
