GARCIA -- Emma M. Garcia, born in Albuquerque (Old Town) on February 24, 1927, went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2006, with her sister, Mary at her side. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Ambrosio and Luisa Garcia; and by her brothers, Ambrosio Jr. and Joe Garcia. Emma is survived by her sisters, Mary J. Montano and Eloisa Rozzi and her husband, John P. Rozzi; three cousins; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving Emma is Andrea Zamora whom Emma helped raise from infancy. Emma was a member of San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church and a member of the Blue Army and Sacred Heart Alter and Rosary Society. She was a primary care giver for her father during his extended illness and for her recently deceased brother-in-law, Pat M. Montano. Though challenged throughout her life by many illnesses, Emma was always ready and willing to help others in any way she could. She will be sorely missed. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church in Old Town. Special thanks go to Vista Care Hospice who lovingly cared for Emma during her final days. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at San Felipe de Neri Church on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at 10:00 a.m., with internment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Funeral Services are in the care of: GARCIA MORTUARY 717 Stover Ave. SW 243-5222
