"Frank P Sloan, 68, of Titusville RD 2, died at 11:25 o'clock last night at the Titusville Hospital after three months' illness. He was born Jan 27, 1886, at Sloandale, a son of Patrick K and Mary H Sloan. He followed the oil business all of his life, but in recent years was employed in the boiler shop at the Struthers Wells Corp Iron Works Division. He is survived by his wife, Gretchen, and the following sons and daughters: Mrs Fred Meyers of Miami Beach, Fla; Mrs Neil MacQuarrie, Jr, of Ithaca, NY; Mrs Paul Harrison of Titusville; J Edward of Erie; George O of Oil City; Harold A, Patrick A and Paul H Sloan of Titusville; nine grandchildren and the following sisters: Mrs DiAnna S Luce, Emma E Sloan of Titusville and Mrs Ellen S Cotter of Ellwood City; a niece, Mary H Green of Buffalo, and a nephew, George Lesser of Boulder, Colo. Friends may call at the W M Curtis funeral home. Arrangements are incomplete..."

"FUNERALS - Frank P Sloan - Requiem high mass for Frank P Sloan was celebrated by Rev Patrick F Sharpe yesterday morning at St Stephen's Church in Sloandale. Mrs Joseph Snyder was the soloist. Prior to the mass a prayer service was held at the W M Curtis funeral home. Burial was in the church cemetery with the following serving as pall-bearers: Delmar Williams, Donald Obert, Alfred Obert, James Lavery, Ted Brown and William MacQuarrie..."
