She was the 4th of the 5 children of William Seymour and Letitia/Lettice Ellen/Electa Dixon:
Jane (Seymour) Perry (c.1795–aft.1850),
William Dickson/Dixon Seymour,
Wesley Seymour,
Sarah Robinson (Seymour) Horner, and
John Fletcher Seymour.
The family immigrated to South Carolina from co. Monaghan in the winter of 1797/98.
She married John Horner 16 Aug 1827 at Montgomery County, Illinois.
