Came to CA 1857 Settled in Yolo county, in the Cache Creek canyon.
William Craighton's last request of his son William Jasper, was to bring his body back to Woodland to be buried beside his wife Elizabeth. William Jasper loaded his body aboard his buckboard and used his fathers favorite team of horses "Mary and Dolly", taking a few days to travel 100 miles.
