Con N. Olona, Jr., 74, of Springer, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2004, in Albuquerque. He was born June 9, 1929, in Sweetwater, N.M., the son of Conrado D. and Beatrice Mary DeAguero, Olona. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Springer.

His parents; a brother, Dido Olona and a sister, Louise Fallis, preceded him in death.

He is survived by Alice A. Keown Olona of the family home; a daughter, Margaret Konbaca and husband Cliff of Neaderland, Texas; brothers, Reyes Olona and wife Maria of Belen, Albert Olona and wife Gloria of Albuquerque, Phillip Olona and wife Sally of California, Deacon Edward Olona and wife Celia of Springer, Harold Olona and wife Vanette of Albuquerque; a sister, Margaret Olona of Albuquerque; and two granddaughters, Tyler ad Taylor Konbaca.

Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary was held on April 14 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Springer, recited by Deacon Edward Olona. Mass of the Resurrection followed at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Springer with Father John Dear as the Celebrant. Burial followed in the Springer Cemetery.

Arrangements for Con N. Olona, Jr. were under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.
