Mr. Sawyer passed away on March 7, 2012 in Lubbock. Mr. Sawyer was born on Nov. 5, 1948 in Ralls, Texas to Marlin Lee Sawyer and Opal Wells Sawyer. He married Patsy Setliff on June 15, 1967 in Lorenzo, Texas and they had been married 44 years. Ronnie worked in the farming industry for many years as a farm manager and was presently employed with Golden Peanut Co. of Seagraves. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Hobbs and was preceded in death by his parents, Marlin and Opal Sawyer.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Sawyer of Seminole; one son, Jason Sawyer of Hobbs and his children, Jesse, Robert, Amber, and Cassidy Sawyer and Brooke Lane; one daughter, Julie Lindley and husband Mike of Temple and their children, Reagan and Ryan Lindley; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Ray Sawyer and wife Barbara of Azle, Texas; two sisters, Diane Ussery and husband Benny of Lubbock, and Debbie King and husband Jimmy of Lubbock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a family visitation time from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., this evening, Friday, March 9, 2012 at Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.
