Betty Jane Rozzano, 87, of Eastwood, passed away Tuesday at James Square surrounded by her family. Betty was born May 13, 1924, in Syracuse the daughter of the late Raymond and Agnes Phillips Cole. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and a member of the Golden Agers and the Altar and Rosary Society. Betty was predeceased by husband, Sam F. Rozzano, in 2011 and her siblings, Alfred, Louise, Peggy and Raymond Cole. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother who devoted her life to caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking, playing bocce with the McChesney Park Bocce League and spending time with Club Girls. Survived by sons Sam (Brenda), John (Rich Russell), Robert (Jennifer Clark) and Joseph; a daughter, Mary (Edwin) Cook; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are to be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 9 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum in DeWitt. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 3111 James Street. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sam and Betty Rozzano Scholarship Fund, c/o Blessed Sacrament Church, 3127 James Street, Syracuse, NY 13206.
