Ralph was killed at age 23 while working on the railroad. He returned to work too soon after breaking his leg and was either crushed between two railroad cars or he fell across the track and was beheaded by an oncoming train. Ralph was the son of Henry Joseph "Harry" Rigg and Mary Lucinda (Madison) Rigg. Ralph was married at the time of his death to Mary Cecilia "Mayme" O'Neill and they had one son, Harry J Rigg born Sep 7, 1911.
