Jane and William had eleven children together. At the time of her death, five of them had died. The surviving living children were: Mrs. IE Freese, Lander Wyoming; Mrs. EC (Emma May) McKelvey, Wolbach, Nebraska; Mrs. Anna Imiss, Caldwell, Idaho; JW Johnson, Elba, Nebraska; Mrs. W Green, Harmony, Nebraska; Jesse M Johnson, Havelock, Nebraska; Mrs. Charles A (Dolly) Armstrong, Kimberly, Idaho; Mrs. SA Armstrong, Brawley, California; Mrs. John Mikkelson, Seattle, Washington; and Nellie Johnson, Beatrice, Nebraska.
"She became a Christain about 15 years ago. She was a kind and loving wife and mother and loved by all who knew her. She was a great sufferer, but bore it patiently until God sailed her to a better land.
Funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. WG Hamilton, pastor of the UE church at Elba. Interment at Cedar Rapids, Nebraska.
