Betty Jean Adams Brosie, 89, of Zanesville passed away Thursday, March 08, 2012 at the Muskingum County Home. Betty was born August 24, 1922 in Zanesville to the late Elwood and Naomi Ruth Pierce Adams. Betty was a cashier at the Big Bear and was a member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church for 79 years.

Betty is survived by one son, Francis Eugene Brosie; one niece, Janice "Jan" (Paul) Durbin of Zanesville and a dear friend, Pat Gillespie of Zanesville along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Carl F. Brosie and her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brothers: Charles Adams, James Adams, Raymond Adams and Robert Adams; sisters: Beulah Dickerson, Lula Spung, Katherine Bridwell and a daughter-in-law Jayne Brosie.

Memorial contributions may be made to Central Trinity United Methodist Church, 62 S. 7th St., Zanesville, Oh 43701; Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care, 713 Forest Ave., Zanesville or Muskingum County Home, 3125 East Pike, Zanesville, Oh.

Calling hours will be 12 – 2 pm Monday, March 12, 2012 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W. MILITARY RD., ZANESVILLE. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Monday in The Snouffer Chapel with Dr. Steven Fewell officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
