Rita A. (Lambert) Lecourt, 84 formerly of Woonsocket was the wife of the late Bertrand Carpenter and the late Charles F. Lecourt. Born in Woonsocket, April 12, 1927 a daughter of the late Elzear and Julie Mercier) Lambert, she had been a lifelong resident of Woonsocket. Rita had been employed in local textile mills until her retirement. She was a communicant of All Saints Church, Woonsocket.
Rita was the mother of the late Robert Carpenter. She is survived by 2 granddaughters, Michelle and Nicole Carpenter , 2 great grandchildren and 3 sisters, Rosanna Whitesell ,Lillian Champagne and Terry O'Rourke, and a stepson Jason Lecourt.She was the sister of the late Eugene, Henry, Leo and Norman Lambert, Jean Robideau and Alice Beaulieu.
