Mrs. Annie Claudy, aged 75 years, of Parsonage Street, Newville, Pa. died August 15, 1947 at Burton Memorial Division of Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa. after a stay of 4 months and 19 days due to Pulmonary Tubenculasis.
She was born about 1872 (given by age 75), in Newville, Pa. She was the widowed wife of R. Blean Claudy and daughter of Samuel C. Wagner and his wife the former Miss Woodburn, natives of Penna. Informant, Edward T. Spencer, 39 Union Ave., Bala-Cynwyd, Pa.
Burial on August 18, 1947 at Big Spring Burial, Cumberland County, Pa. by M. F. Williams, funeral director, Clifton Heights, Pa.

There is quite a write-up of Samuel C. Wagner (father of Annie L Claudy) included the following;
In 1866 Mr Wagner married Laura E., daughter of John M. Woodburn, of Newville. they have eight children: Charles W., Jennie E., Annie L., Sallie G., George B., Walter E., Samuel C., Jr., and Thomas H., in ages from eighteen to four years. Mr Wagner is a Knight Templar, belonging to St. John's Commandery of Carlisle, and to Big Springs Lodge, No. 361, of Newville. He is also a member of Cavalry Post, No. 35, G.A.R., of Philadelphia. A gallant soldier, a pure politician, and an upright business man, he deserves the honors put upon him by his neighbors.
