DOFF H. STOVER FUNERAL TO BE THIS AFTERNOON
Funeral services for Doff Horace Stover, one of two candidates for sheriff of Raleigh county, who died at his home at Maynor at 10:15 p. m., Monday, following a heart attack, will be conducted at the Cirtsville church today at 1:30 p. m., by the Rev. Alvin J. Cook, assisted by the Rev. Hugh Shirley. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
He was born June 4, 1898, the son of Samuel L. Stover, who survives him, and Alice Daniels Stover.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mattie Stover; one sister, Mrs. Herbert Pulliam of Beckley; one brother, Harless Stover, who is with the U. S. army in Italy, and the following children: Quentin Stover of Maynor; Carmen Stover of Elkton, Maryland; Miss Sereda Stover of Maynor; Howard Stover, U. S. Army; Charles Edward Stover, Miss Charlene, and Glen and Larry Stover, all of Maynor.
Active pallbearers for the funeral will be: Walter Godbey, Lee Dew, Kelly Vass, Duff Spangler, Joe Meadows, Ross Stover, Ray Stover, Alex Feazelle, and Walter Romine.
The body will be taken to the Cirtsville church from the Tyree Funeral home
