At the time of her death, she was survived by her mother and sister, Billie Yvette Dossey Patterson, and five grandchildren: Phillip O. Don Cole, Jr., Mary Catherine Cole Stock, Thomas Robert B. Cole, Michael Brian O. Cole and William Travis Davis. She was born in Jonesboro, Coryell County, Texas, where her first husband, Arnold Pipes, was also born. They married January 2, 1944. They moved to Waco, Texas, in 1954, and she lived there until her death.
