Mrs. Ford died Wednesday, Jan. 18,2012 in Big Spring.
She was born April 6, 1927, in Rockdale to Clyde and Robbie (Davis) Aldridge.
She previously lived in San Antonio, working in the bookkeeping department of Main Bank & Trust for 16 years before retiring.
In 2004, after the death of her husband, Mrs. Ford moved to New Braunfels for 18 months and then, in 2005, returned to her childhood home of Rockdale.
In 2008, she sold her home in Rockdale and moved to her daughters home in Big Spring.
She married J. L. Ford in San Antonio on Nov. 18, 1949.
Mrs. Ford was a member of the Methodist Church, the Eastern Star and Pershing Lodge of Hermann Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. on Dec.30, 2003; her parents; and a great- grandson, Reid Mathew Jennings.
Survivors are a daughter, and a son, six grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren.
