Everett "Ev" John Green was born on June 27, 1930 in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Waldon and Regina (Braun) Green. He graduated from Southwest High School in Minneapolis and attended the Minnesota School of Business. Ev spent 4 years in the US Navy as an aerial photographer, completing his service in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was united in marriage to Fern Ruby Haugen on October 20, 1951 at St. Michael's Chapel in Pearl Harbor. Ev and Fern recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends at Linden Hills in Little Falls.

Ev started his work career at Honeywell. He then spent 20 years working for Red Owl Stores, holding store level and regional management positions. Ev and Fern purchased a Red Owl Store franchise in 1973 in Wells, MN. They then purchased a Red Owl Store franchise in 1980 in Little Falls, MN. Ev sold the store and retired in 1995. He maintained a part-time position with Coborn's.

Ev was truly a servant of the Lord. He was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church for 30 years and was a communion distributor. Ev was very active in the REC program ministering to and supporting "residents". He was a long time member of the Core Team Healing Light Prayer Community. Always thinking of others before himself, he was a giving and supportive person. His own example of Christian Faith and his efforts in Christian organizations help bring many people to the Lord, including many in his own family.

Ev enjoyed time with his family. He was an avid supporter of his children's and grandchildren's sports and other activities. His voice, in positive support, stood out over the entire crowd and will be remembered by all. Ev loved to fish and he never missed an opportunity to get out into a boat. Ev loved the REC weekends and enjoyed watching the residents come alive in faith. Ev earned his pilot's license and enjoyed flying his single engine plane. His love for photography provided him countless hours of enjoyment and he provided his family with numerous photo memories.

Ev is survived by his wife of 60 years, Fern Green, seven children: Nancy, Doug (Margo), Dale (Rhonda), Diane Gonzalez, Janet (Chad) Hagen, Theresa (Kurt) Braun, and Judy (Ricardo) Graca, fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren

Ev was preceded in death by his parents, brother Waldon, and sisters, JoAnn and Annette.
