Alfredo Armendariz, 87, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, March 3, 2012. Alfredo was well known as a successful longtime businessman in Douglas, Arizona and Agua Prieta, Sonora and was also a member of the Rotary Club. He is survived by his son Alfredo (Maricela) Armendariz, daughter Bertha (The late Ruben Sr.) Verdugo, second wife Armida Armendariz and sister Maria De La Luz Solis. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Andy Armendariz, Ruben Jr. (Lisette) Verdugo, Yvette (Marcial) Carrasco, Yvonne (Frank) Arvayo, his great grandchildren Zavina, Selina, Demetrius, Dylani, Dayvion, Alyssa, Brandon, Syndi, Johnny, Ruben M. Verdugo III, Rodrigo, and great great granddaughter Zayleen. Alfredo was preceded in death by his former wife Amparo Armendariz, great grandson Demetrio Ruben Carrasco, and his four brothers, Leopoldo, Frank, Luis and Federico Armendariz. He will always be remembered as a loving and caring brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten and his words of wisdom will carry on in our hearts forever. A Rosary for Alfredo will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Brown Page Mortuary Chapel. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at St. Luke's Catholic Church with Father Jesus Alejandro Perez officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers who will serve are Alfredo Armendariz, Andy Armendariz, Ruben M. Verdugo, Jr., Frank Arvayo, Marcial Carrasco and Joe Bono. Honorary Pallbearers will be Edward Armendariz and Rogelio Armendariz."
