Gaines Raymond Adams age 82 of Thomasville, AL, died Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Mobile Infirmary. He was born October 31, 1929 in Gilbertown, AL. He was a retired insurance agent with Liberty National Life Insurance Co. Mr. Adams was the Voice of The Thomasville Tigers for over 33 years. He was a World War II U. S. Navy veteran and attended the Thomasville Baptist Church. He was a Shriner and a member of Oliver Lodge # 334 F & AM in Thomasville.
He is survived by his wife, Grace A. Adams of Thomasville, AL; three daughters:, Brenda (David) Cofer of Dothan, AL; Lenda (Buddy) Ezell of Stapleton, AL; Patricia Clanton of Dothan, AL; sister, Vermel Nordan of Tuscaloosa, AL; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Friday, March 2, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be at Thomasville Baptist Church on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Ty Parten officiating. Burial will be at Bashan Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville, AL.
