HANNIBAL Ruth F. Featherstone, 83, of Columbia and formerly of Hannibal, died Dec. 22, 1999, at Boone Retirement Center in Columbia.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at Grand View Chapel in Hannibal. The Rev. Michael Coleman will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park.
Mrs. Featherstone was born July 13, 1916, in Hannibal to Harold and Florene Ratliff Smith.
She was married to Clare Featherstone in 1935 in Hannibal. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, James Featherstone of Orlando, Fla., and Glenn Featherstone of Columbia; one brother, Charles Smith of O'Fallon; one sister, Rose Marie Smith of St. Charles; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen R. Smith and Harold Smith; and two sisters, Dorothy Shanks and Iva Shade.
Mrs. Featherstone lived in Hannibal until 1964. She was a member of the Community United Methodist Church in Columbia.
She was a graduate of McCooey High School.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services today at the funeral home.
