Alice Dwenger, 98, 25600 Bull Fork Road, Oldenburg, Ind., died Friday, Jan. 28, 1994 at her residence.
Born Oct. 12, 1895 in Hamburg, Ind., she was the daughter of Albert and Theresia (Koetter) Peters. She was married Nov. 14, 1917 to Harry Dwenger and he preceded her in death May 31, 1964. She was a member of the St. Anne's Catholic Church in Hamburg and of the Ladies Society of the church. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Albert Dwenger, Hamburg; five daughters, Mrs. John (Theresa) Essinger, and Mrs. Everett (Rosina) Lodge, both of Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Bob (Irene) Tepe, and Mrs. Richard (Mary) Flick, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mrs. Bob (Bertha) Patterson, Hamburg; 41 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Irwin Dwenger; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and seven brothers and sisters, Anna Huth, Suzanna and Katie Peters, Henry Peters, Theresia Nobbe, and Mary and Maggie Meer.
The Rev. James Bonke conducted the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. today in St. Anne's Catholic Church in Hamburg.
Burial was in the St. Anne's Cemetery.
Memorials may go to the Home Health Care % the Margaret Mary Community Hospital, Batesville.
