Mrs. Helen Juanita Sullins, 94, of Raytown, Missouri formerly of Southwest City, Missouri departed this life on Friday, March 2, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Helen entered this life on July 16, 1917 in Maysville, Arkansas born to the union of the late Olin and Edna (Edwards) Thomason. She was raised in Southwest City, Missouri and was a graduate of Southwest City High School. She went on to receive her bachelor's degree in elementary education. Over half of her life was spent in Raytown, Missouri. She retired from the Raytown School District after several years as a 2nd grade teacher. She was a member of the Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church in Raytown.

She married Adkins Wallace "AD" Sullins in 1959 and he preceded her in death in 1988. She was also preceded by three sisters.

Helen is survived by one daughter, Linda Carter of New York City, New York; and one niece and two nephews.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Sullins are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the Southwest City Cemetery in Southwest City, Missouri with Rev. Patrick Jackson officiating.
