"The community was very much saddened Sunday by the death of Mrs. William R. Holmes at her home about 9 a. m. Mrs. Lettia Holmes was the daughter of the late William and Elise (Saunders) McClintock. She was born in South Worcester, April 15, 1871, and married William R. Holmes October 15, 1903 at the home of her parents. Mrs. Holmes was a member of the Schenevus Eastern Stars and the Baptist church. Always friendly and sympathetic with others, greatly admired by all who knew her she will be greatly missed in the community. After her marriage she and her husband came to the old Holmes farm where they resided until about three years ago when they moved to the village. Surviving are her husband, one son, Percy, of Decatur; two brothers, Arthur of South Worcester and John of Pennsylvania; five nieces, Mrs. Harold Bentley of Cherry Valley, Mrs. James Rexroad of Albany, Mrs. Harold Sawyer of Worcester, Mrs. Wilbur Bush of Westford and Miss Patricia McClintock of Pennsylvania; two nephews, William Roseboom of Westford and Walter McClintock of South Worcester. The funeral was held in the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial in Worcester cemetery. Sympathy is extended the survivors."
