Richard Burke Hackett, 50, 2872 Wainwright Rd., died Oct 2, 1966, 6:45 p.m. in a local hospital following a stroke.

He was born Feb. 28, 1916, Salt Lake City, a son of Robert Roy and Lillian Marie Larson Hackett. He married Wray Opperman, Aug 23, 1941, Evanston, WYO. He was a salesman for A.J. Kirk Co., and an Accountant in the county treasurer's office. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the Air Force. He was a member of the Highland View Second Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors; widow; daughters, Mrs. Jack J. (Tyra Lynn) Schiess, Shanna Wray Hackett, both of Salt Lake City; parents; Woods Cross; sister; Mrs. Helen H. Romney, Bountiful; brother, Wendell T., Salt Lake City.

Funeral will be Wednesday at noon in the Highland View 2nd Ward chapel, 2980 S. 2790 E. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple on Tuesday 7-9 p.m. Burial will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
