BENNINGTON - Joseph L. Vallee, 89, died Jan. 30, 2004, at his residence. He was born March 29, 1914, in Bennington, the son of Francis and Rose (Myers) Vallee. He received his education in Bennington. He married Mildred Sloat on July 3, 1940, in Bennington.

Mr. Vallee worked in the shipping department at Bennington Brush, retiring in 1980. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and baseball, especially the New York Yankees.

Survivors include his wife of Bennington; a daughter, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Francis Vallee.

The memorial service will be held at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in Park Lawn Cemetery.
