WAGONER, Alfred "Papa" — Age 81, resident of Riddle, Oregon, passed away February 22, 2004, at a local care center.
He was born on October 11, 1922, in Blueball, Arkansas, to parents, Gerald Earnest and Nevada (Helton) Wagoner.
Mr. Wagoner was a veteran of WWII. Alfred and his wife, Wilma Wagoner operated a daycare for over 40 years. He also worked for Roseburg Lumber in Riddle. He loved baseball and especially spending time with his grandkids. Mr. Wagoner was a member of the Open Bible Church in Riddle.
Survivors include son, Mitch and wife, Karen Wagoner of Roseburg, Oregon and their children, Marshall and Stuart Wagoner; son, Steve and wife, DeShawn Wagoner of Sutherlin, Oregon and their children, Cole, Shea and Kendall Wagoner.
Memorial services will be at the Open Bible Church in Riddle, on Saturday February 28, 2004, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Don Causey officiating. A private interment will be next to his wife, Wilma Wagoner at the Riddle Cemetery. Memorials may be made in memory of Alfred "Papa" Wagoner to the Open Bible Church Building Fund.
