NOVATO, Calif. - A. Roy Blanch, 60, of 531 Olive, Novata, formerly of West Weber, Utah, died Monday at is home. Mr. BLanch was born Feb 19, 1916 in West Weber, a son of Christian and Annie Elizabeth Blanch.
On Jun 12 1941, he was married to Shirley Jane Rhodes in Ogden. He was educated in Weber county and graduated from Utah State University. He received his masters degree from the University of Montana at Bozeman.
He was a member of the LDS Church and had worked in community activities in Ogden and Novato. He was a lieutenant in the Navy during World War II. He had been employed by the Forest Service in Ogden, and transferred to San Francisco in 1962 where he was withthe Environmental Protection Agency. He worked with Civil Service for 30 years, retraining in 1972.
Surviving are his widow of Novato; two sons and one daughter, Kurt A. Blanch, Robert R. Blanch both of Novato; Mrs. Don (Diane) Batllner, Lakewood, Colo,; for grandchildren.
Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Sarah B. White, Plain City; Mrs. Mable B. Winter, Ogden, Mrs. Ann E. Johansen, Huntsville; Willard Blanch, Lenard Blanch both of West Weber.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel in Ogden with Bishop George F. Rhodes officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday prior to services.
