Thanks go to Rosie for adding the pictures of Lizzie....

What a cat...This poor little scrap of a kitten was dumped off where we worked and the feral cats wouldn't let her eat so she was of our co-workers showed her picture around and Edmund said we would take her as he had just got hired full time and he thought Mamacat needed a companion. He wanted to name her Lizzie Borden and naturally I was against that but that was her name..the Vets always got a chuckle over it.

We brought her home from the vet and nursed her back to health and she was the talk of the neighborhood. She held court in the afternoon and all the neighborhood cats would circle around and they would visit until I would bring her in..

She dearly loved to strut her stuff up and down the yard and would welcome any cat into the yard and tried hard to
get me to let them come into the house..It didn't work.

Edmund got his own place and couldn't take Lizzie with him so I kept her here with my Mother and I..

She loved baby meat out of the jar and oh how she loved
to roll in catnip...she was in kitty heaven with that.

She was a lady in every sense of the word...she would meow every morning around 4 for her breakfast. I would hurry and get up and feed her and very hurriedly clean her litter box as she would have nothing to do with a litter box that was not pristine and she would patiently wait until I was through then get in..I was then able to get my first cup
of coffee for the morning..this went on for years..she
had her routine and I did what I was told.

When my mother was failing Lizzie would sit on her lap for hours and my mother would call her
big eyes as she had the prettiest big eyes you have ever seen.

She loved to lay by the heater I kept in my office just for
her..she would lay there while I was on the computer or just for the sheer love of felt good on her
arthritic hips. The last few days she slept in a Christmas
sleigh my brother-in-law bought for the cats..she seemed
to really like it and the last pictures I took of her was in that sleigh bed.

Lizzie was a great companion, she liked to be near her
people and dearly loved to wallow on Edmunds Newspaper
when he was trying to read it..she seemed to be the happiest when she was close to us..she would sleep on
the pillow next to me until she got to where she couldn't
jump down during the night so I had to have her a separate
bed that was easier on her joints..I am going to miss my
little girl..

Olivia joined the household in 2006 and
I had hoped they would become great friends but that never quite happened..she preferred to be by herself in her old age.. she was always an indoor outdoor cat and loved so sun herself in the flower beds but last year she started having issues with her blood pressure and other things so I had to curtail her going outside unless I was with her. I was afraid she would have an episode and I wouldn't be there for her.
This morning she was having issues with her hindquarters and couldn't stay upright. We immidaitely went to the emergency vet and they gave her pain meds. and did lab work and sent us home. At 8 I called my regular vet and went right in and her blood pressure was out of sight so they gave her meds. but her internal organs were in pretty bad shape..we went home and she tried to potty poor little thing she couldn't go even with me holding her up so another trip to the vet. The vet said she would probably not recover from this so we I made the decision to set her free. She went peacefully and I can see her now
romping around with Mamacat and Molliecat before she joins Edmund.

She was called many names..angel, sweet pea, baby girl,
angelface, baby angelgirl, big eyes, Elizabeth and sometimes Lizzie

She was almost 21 years old and never did get over 6 0r 7 pounds..In the last few months she became quite frail although she could still jump on the couch.

Thank you sweet baby for spending your life with me...I thought you would live forever...I miss you

Thank You so much Rosie for sponsoring my sweet little
angel baby.
