Geniva Virginia Morgan, 83, of Bardin, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center.

She was a native of Conway, S.C. and had lived in Bardin since 1967, coming from Myrtle Beach, S.C.

She was a member of Victory Christian Fellowship and a homemaker. She loved to cook and play bingo. She loved her family very much and was a very dedicated mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Brenda Todd Morgan Skidmore and Barbara Ann Crewe, a great-granddaughter, Brittany Cook, a brother, R.V. Page two sisters, Elizabeth "Lib" Wright and Olny Jackson. Her husband of 44 years, Fred Morgan, preceded her in death by 64 hours.

She is survived by three daughters, Jeanie Wheeler and husband, Robert of St. Augustine, Cheryl Knowles and husband, James of Palatka and Sharon Wells and dear friend, Tony Bucknole of Palatka; 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Jan. 4 at the Victory Christian Fellowship in San Mateo with the Rev. Ben Tippett, the Rev. Dean Morgan and the Rev. Gene Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Palatka Memorial Gardens.

Calling hours were held Monday from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka. In celebration of her life, a memorial video will be shown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to: Victory Christian Fellowship Debt Relief Fund, P. O. Box 741, East Palatka, Florida, 32131.

Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka is in charge of arrangements.
