Businessman. He gained renown as the manager of the rock group Led Zeppelin. Starting as a tour manager in the early 1960s with such artists as Chuck Berry, The Everly Brothers and Little Richard, to name a few, in 1966, he was asked to manage The Yardbirds, whose members included guitarist Jimmy Page, future founder of Led Zeppelin. An ex-actor and wrestler, Grant was a large, colorful and occasionally violent-tempered man. Loyal to Led Zeppelin and protective of their financial interests, he was instrumental in forming Swan Song Records in 1974.
