Starteing as a tour manager in the early 1960s with such artists as Chuck Berry, The Everly Brothers and Little Richard, to name a few, in 1966, he was asked to manage "The Yardbirds", whose members included guitarist Jimmy Page, future founder of Led Zepplin.
