Gone Fishin'"
Floyd Schramm, 78, Husband, Father, Grandpa, and Friend passed away peacefully, February 27, 2012 at his home in Payson surrounded by all his children.
He was born May 19, 1933 in Payson, Utah to Carl and Neva Schramm. He married MarJean Morgan, November 25, 1955, they were later sealed in the Manti Temple. They had four children: Rod, LouJean, Jeff and Ryan. MarJean passed away in 1978.
Floyd later married Carol Beth (Woodhouse) Eaves October 6, 1978. She had four children: Susan, John, Dave, and Randy. Together they had a daughter Denise.
Floyd grew up and attended school in Payson, Utah and graduated from Payson High. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany and retired from Geneva Steel where he worked as an electrician.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings throughout his life. He was also a faithful home teacher and served in the Provo Temple.
He loved his family and spending time with them was his highest priority. As a family they enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, traveling and family reunions. He was an avid fisherman and passed that love on to his children and grandchildren. He looked forward to the annual Alaska fishing trip; it was often said, "fish feared him". Floyd had many lifelong friends, loved people and never met a stranger.
