Pvt. G. W. Turcotte Funeral Monday

POTSDAM - The body of Pvt. Gerald W. Turcotte, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred J. Turcotte of 5 Missouri av., will arrive in Potsdam by train tomorrow night where it will be met by a military escort of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Full military honors will be paid at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Church and burial will be in the family plot in Notre Dame Cemetery, Malone. Pvt. Turcotte was killed in action on Nov. 21, 1944, while serving with the 101 Infantry of the 26st Division in France. He was 21 years old at the time. Born in Malone on Feb. 15, 1923, he graduated from Potsdam High School in 1941 and attended Clarkson College for two years. Besides his parents, he leaves a sister, Miss Elizabeth Turcotte of New York, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Nelson Jarvis of Malone, who is 90 years old.
