Inez Marie Leasure, 88, of Nichols, N.Y., passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at The Waters of Endicott. She was born August 7, 1912 in Nichols, N.Y., the daughter of James and Ida Johnson Mosher Berry. She was a graduate of Nichols High School and married the boy next door, Gerald E. Leasure on June 12, 1933. Gerald and Inez operated the family farm raising chickens, dairy farming, running a riding stable, raising hogs and finally polled hereford beef cattle. Inez is survived by her only daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Arvin Dodge, Nichols; three grandsons, Scott and Pam Dodge, Nichols, Barry and Janine Dodge, Nichols, Robert Dodge, Washington, D.C.; two great-grandsons, Gerald and Hunter Dodge, Nichols; and several nieces and nephews. Inez was predeceased by her husband Gerald in 1986; her brother and wife Orin and Blanch Waterman Berry; half brothers and their wives, Frank and Mildred Mosher, Arthur and Alice Mosher, Alvy and Waneta Berry, Clark and Louise Berry, James W. and Violet Berry, Milo and Margaret Berry, Harland and Viola Berry; and half sister, Grace and Raymond Barber, Sr. Funeral services will be held at Richards Funeral Home, Route 17C West, Owego, N.Y., on Friday, May 25, 2001 at 8 p.m. with Rev. Brown Naik officiating. Burial will be in Nichols Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends are invited to call at Richards Funeral Home on Friday from 6 p.m. until the time of service at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Nichols Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 335, Nichols, N.Y. 13812
