LONG BRANCH -- The flag at city hall is flying at half staff to honor the late Adam (Bucky) James, 66, of 67 Grant Court, who died Saturday in Monmouth Medical Center.
Mayor Henry R. Cioffi announced the city honors for Mr. James, "the friend of countless city youths."
Born in North Delaware, De., he had lived here 32 years. He was employed by the city Street Department for 29 years. He was feted in city hall last year to mark his 65th birthday..Long active in city youth activities, Mr. James was cited yesterday by the mayor as a man who "was never too busy to lend a helping hand to any youngster in the city."
He was a communicant of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Helen James; a daughter, Mrs. Audrey Robinson, at home, a grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
The Woolley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
