Jefferson Davis Goulette III was born in Van Horn, Texas but spent the majority of his life in Tucson, AZ. His father was Jefferson Davis Goulette Jr. and his mother was Ruth Bryan. JD had a brother named Bryan.

JD's proudest accomplishment was being a U. S. Marine (just like his dad, Jefferson Davis Goulette Jr.). He enlisted 8/12/1946 and was discharged 8/11/1948 and re-enlisted the very next day for another term.

JD married Jessie Hunt (they met in the military) and had three children, a son and two daughters.

After the Marines, JD was an auto mechanic in Tucson.

Leaving a brother, Bryan (Barbara); sister, Glenda (Kurt) Schwan; son, Jefferson Davis IV (Janet); daughters, Dawna Bool, Charlene Brown; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, with three arrivals to be. J.D. was a former Marine and the Goulette family was instrumental in developing Tucson in the early 1900s. A celebration of his life will be held at 1000 a.m., Thursday, June 7, 2007 at DESERT SUNSET FUNERAL HOME, 3081 W. Orange Grove Rd. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
