JERRY W. McCORD, 64, of Marion, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, 8:10 a.m., at Covington Manor, Fort Wayne. Born in Summitville, he was the son of the late Harry and Cora (Allen) McCord Sr. He was a 1959 graduate of Summitville High School. He married Margaret Arnett on Nov. 14, 1959; she survives. He attended Grace Community Church, Marion. He was the Body Shop Manager at Howard's Chrysler Plymouth, Marion; owned and operated Jerry's Body Shop, Marion; and restored antique cars for Stutz Specialty, Fort Wayne. His passion for cars was evident until the end. Surviving are his wife, Margaret McCord of Marion; daughter, Stephanie Wagner of Fort Wayne; sons, David (Julie) McCord of Medina, Ohio, Jeffrey McCord of Wisconsin and Andy McCord of Marion; grandchildren, Amber Weso , Amanda (C.J.) Miller, Daniel McCord, Colin McCord, Natalie Wagner and Jared McCord; and great-grandchildren, Elan Sage Weso, Tre' Allen Miller and Laney Anne Miller. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Friday at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion. The Revs. Donald Miller and Thomas Mansbarger officiating. Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial in Grant Memorial Park.
