Frederick Harvey "Butch" Trent was born July 3, 1957 in Van Buren, Arkansas to Kenneth E. and Mary F. Bruns Trent.
He went to be with his Lord in heaven on March 4, 2012 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at Peachtree Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 54 years old.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Frederick Lee Trent.

He is survived by his parents, Mother, Mary Lacey and Father Kenneth E. Trent and wife, Jewell all of Van Buren;
three sisters, Kaye Neal, Mary Merechka & husband, Lynn all of Van Buren and Amy Furr, of the Air National Guard, & husband Brian of Fort Smith; two brothers, Kenny Trent & the late, Carolyn of Kibler and Brad Trent & wife, Tammy of Van Buren. Uncle, Carl W. Bruns of Van Buren.
Several nieces and nephews, cousins and numerous friends.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday March 7th 2012 at 10:00am at Butterfield Assembly of God Church in Van Buren with Pastor Bobby Gilstrap officiating.
Burial will be at Gracelawn Cemetery with Fireman's Honors.

Pallbearers will be David Ray Jr., Jerry Don Brasuell, nephews of Butch; David Ray III, Eric Ray, Cody Ray, Maverick Merechka, Brandon Trent and Bradley Trent.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Van Buren Fire Department, Van Buren Police Department, Crawford County Sheriff's Department, All Van Buren City Employees, All County & State Employees, Bill Law, Earl Almond, Titus Patillo. Fire Chief Jerry Don McAdoo, Jerry McGraw, Rick Pullan and Frankie Mayhew and all of his fishing and hunting buddies.


He has received his healing and is now whole.
