DONNELLSON - MRS. DAVID(LAURA) ABEL, 88, of Donnellson, died at 1 P.M. Thursday, Nov 2, 1978 at Henry County Health Center, Mt. Pleasant, where she had been a patient for one month.
She was born in Ringgold County, Iowa, Sept. 4, 1890. She had lived most of her life on the same farm near Donnellson.
On Dec. 21, 1911, at Donnellson, she was married to David Abel, who survives.
Mrs. Abel was a member of the United Presbyterian church in Donnellson and the United Presbyterian Women's society. She was also a member of the Green Acres Country Club.
Besides her husband she is survived by a brother Leonard Fett, Donnellson; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Auwaerter, Fort Madison; and Mrs. Lena Mason, Winfield.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Her parents were David and Caroline Manny Fett.
The body is at Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home in Donnellson where final rites will be at 2 P.M. Saturday. The Rev. Raymond Wallace will officiate. Burial will be in the Evangelical cemetery
The family will meet friends from 7 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
A memorial is being established with the American Cancer Society.
