Charles Albert Anderson, 74, 525 East Carter, died Sunday in a local rest home after an illness.
Mr. Anderson was born Dec. 12, 1892, in Cornish, Utah.
In his youth he worked on the Union Pacific Railroad section gang near Arimo and McCammon, and then served in World War I with the U.S. Army Engineers.
He married Lima Brown. She died in 1947. He married Ellen Cornwall Chandler Jan. 29, 1950.
He lived in Sandy, Utah for several years, then came to Menan. He lived there and in the Blackfoot area most of his life. He retired from the railroad and came to Pocatello.
Mr. Anderson was a violinist, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and baseball games.
Five years ago he became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was a priest in the Second Ward here.
Surviving are his widow, Pocatello; a son, Keith B., Ririe; a step son, William Chandler, Pocatello; three step-daughters, Mrs. Worth (Margaret) Daniels, San Mateo, Calif.; Mrs. Wayne (Wilma) Brown, Pocatello; Mrs. Homer (Norma) Byington, (can't read); 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother, L. H. Anderson, Pocatello and a sister, Mrs. Delbert (Pearl) Price, Gooding.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Manning Funeral Chapel with Bishop Arthur Nielson, LDS Second Ward, officiating. Burial will be Wednesday in the Draper, Utah cemetery.
