Georgia Ann Young was the daughter of William J. and Mary Ann Collins Young. She married Abraham (Abram) Ashcraft in about 1863. Their children are listed on his memorial page.

Thank you to Robin Page for the following Obituary:

Atchison Daily Globe, 8 March 1913, page 3, column 2.

"Mrs. A.M. [Georgia] Ashcraft, whose serious illness has been mentioned in The Globe, died at 3:55 o'clock yesterday [Mar 7] afternoon, at her home eight miles southwest of town.

Mrs. Ashcraft was the eldest child of the late Wm. J. Young and was born near DeKalb, Buchanan county, Mo., April 26, 1841. She is survived by six children -- Mrs. James Martin of Highbridge; Mrs. M.F. Martin, of Hutchinson; Wm. Ashcraft of Atchison, and Wallace, Jesse and Miss Louise, who live on the home place.

All of her children and her brother, Richard Young, of Winchester, were constantly at her bedside during her last illness.

Mrs. Ashcraft had lived in the community in which she died for nearly half a century and was highly esteemed. She was devoted to her home and family and her loss will be deeply felt by her many friends, who knew her to be kind, hospitable and ever ready to help the sick or those in need. Mrs. Ashcraft united with the Christian church in her youth, and had been a consistent member for many years. Her husband, A.M. Ashcraft, died January 8, 1910.

The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home, burial in the Ashcraft cemetery."
