UNION — Frank W. Arthur, 68, of Union, passed away Thursday morning, February 2, 2012, at his home following a short illness.
Mr. Arthur was born at Gap Mills, W.Va., July 3, 1943, a son of the late Marcus Lafette and Gladys Eppling Arthur.
He was of the Methodist faith, a former member of the Union Volunteer Fire Department and he was retired employee of Hercules and AET at Covington, Va.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Marcus L. Arthur Jr. and Donnie Arthur.
Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Ann Boggs Arthur of Union; a son, Steven W. Arthur and wife Cathy of Ronceverte; a daughter, Missy Y. Elmore of Union; five grandchildren, Keith Mann, Craig Mann, Emily Arthur, Santana Elmore and Brice Arthur; three brothers, Richard Arthur and wife Joyce of Knoxville, Tenn., Gene Arthur and wife Carol of Gap Mills, Sam Arthur and wife Carolyn of White Sulphur Springs; a sister, Mary Lou Blankenship and husband Alvin of Gap Mills.
