Dorothy E. Lounsbury, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012, in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

She was born in Meadsville, PA, on February 7, 1929, a daughter of the late Mack and Pearl (Beatty) Gibbons.

Mrs. Lounsbury came to Niagara Falls as a child with family. She attended local schools and was employed with various restaurants in the city. Mrs. Lounsbury enjoyed playing the lottery.

She was the wife of the late Russell Lounsbury, who died in March of 1983.

Mrs. Lounsbury is survived by one son, David Lounsbury; three daughters, Pearl Durham, Jennifer (Stanley Stavas) Donahue and Michelle (Keith) Playter; one sister, Mary Seelbinder; two brothers, Richard (Carrie) Gibbons and Samuel (Marcia) Gibbons; many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late James, Robert, Lloyd, Albert, Frances Gibbons and Ruth Peyatt.
