He was the son of Herbert L. Wohlgemuth, Sr., and Mary E. (Sewell) Wohlgemuth. He attended Hale Grade School and graduated from Hale High School. Les was a mechanic and maintainer operator for Ridge Township. On June 28, 1964, he married Audrey Walden at the Hale Baptist Church in Hale, Mo.
Les is survived by three daughters; Deanna Renay Silkwood, Twyla Dawn Frankum and Alisa Janell Winfrey, all of Carrollton, Mo; his mother, Mary Wohlgemuth of Chillicothe, Mo; two sisters, Beverly Sue Hamilton of Kearney, Mo., and Bonnie Lynn Grossman of Tulsa, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father; an infant son, Bryan Leslie; and several aunts and uncles.
Les requested cremation. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Bittiker Funeral Home in Carrollton, Mo."
