Double Funeral
CLARENCE, Mo., Feb. 18. — Lee Harris died Friday morning of pneumonia and his sister, Miss Pearl died Saturday morning of pneumonia. Both were buried this afternoon in the same grave in the Clarence cemetery, the funeral services being held in the Baptist Church near their home, conducted by Rev. William Rutherford, pastor of the M. E. Church, South.
Another sister, Miss Mary Harris, is also very sick with pneumonia, but the report this morning is that she is slightly improved, but that she has not been informed of the deaths of her brother and sister. These are excellent people. Two brothers, W. E. Harris and Arthur Harris, and two sisters survive. The parents preceded then in death some years ago. This is the first double funeral service known in Clarence. The church was filled to capacity, very many standing during the service.
