Arthur Bade

Services for Arthur W. Bade, 76, of Nebraska City will be Wednesday, 2 p.m., at the Lett-Marshall chapel. Bade died May 13, 1985, at St. Mary's Hospital. Bade was born the son of Chris and Emma (Schroeder) Bade on March 26, 1909,at Dunbar. On May 25, 1948, he married Darlane Grieswell in Talmage.

Bade is survived by his wife; one son, Edward; a daughter, Carla Bade; and one sister, Mrs. Norbert (Elsie) Heiser, of Nebraska City. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Bade farmed in the Dunbar area all of his life. He was the owner and operator of the service station in Dunbar. In 1980, be moved to Nebraska City. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Talmage and the Eagles Lodge in Nebraska City. He served on the District 28 school board for many years.

Burial will be in Wyuka Cemetery with the Rev. William Dressen officiating. The family suggests memorials to Faith Lutheran Church in Talmage. Lett-Marshall Funeral Home of
Nebraska City is in charge of arrangements.
