Jeanne was born on November 11, 1921, in South Bend, and resided in the Michiana area her lifetime.
On June 28, 1947, in South Bend, as Jeanne R. Andrews, she married Don R. Whiteman , who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Tommy J. (Sarah) Hawblitzel of Warsaw, Indiana, and Don E. (Nancy) Whiteman of South Bend; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, whom she loved and cherished; and a brother, Roy D. Andrews of South Bend.
Jeanne was a homemaker, and loved camping and music. She was a wonderful, devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always placed her family above all.
I am not lost

For dying merely frees us
To walk in angel's gardens,
Hand-in-hand with Jesus.
The family requests that all memorial contributions be made to Christ Chapel, PO Box 2438, South Bend, IN.
Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 24th, in the Hanley & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road/Indiana 23, South Bend. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25th, in the funeral home, with Pastor Stephen Sumrall officiating and burial to follow at Southlawn Cemetery.
The HANLEY & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home handled the arrangements and services and extend deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Whiteman family.
