Theodore Helgeson passed away suddenly February 11, 1957, while working at the Farmers Elevator in Kenyon, Minnesota, at the age of 46 years, 9 months, and 17 days.

The son of Henry and Inger Overby Helgeson, he was born in Wanamingo township, Goodhue County on April 25, 1910. He was baptized and confirmed at the Wanamingo Lutheran church by Rev. Rislov. June 12, 1944 he was united in marriage to Hilda Shelstad by Rev. S. O. Simandson at Kenyon, Minnesota. To this union two children were born.

His parents and one brother, Lewis, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Betty Jean and Marcella. He is also survived by four sisters, Anna (Mrs. Ellard Evans) of Minneola township, Martha (Mrs Albert Stokke) of St. Paul, Ida (Mrs. Gaylord Bollenbach) of Faribault, Helen (Mrs. Roy Shelby) of Kenyon and four brothers, Edward and Harry of Faribault and Melvin and Irvin of Kenyon. He lived his entire life in this community.

Funeral services were held Thursday, February 14, 1957, 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran church in Kenyon with the Rev. B. M. Rogness officiating. Vocal selections were rendered by Mr. E. Parnell Morck accompanied by Mrs. Evelyn Thune, the church organist.

Those serving as pallbearers were: George Kispert, Raymond Strandemo, Adolph Westphal, Walter Flick, Adolph Rumpho, and Julius Halseth. Interment was in the Kenyon cemetery.

Those attending the services from away were from St. Paul, Minneapolis, Goodhue, Wanamingo, Zumbrota, West Concord, Austin, Faribault, Nerstrand, Waterville, and Kenyon.
