Earl W. Dombach, 75, of 658 Walnut St., Columbia, died at 3:30 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph Hospital following an illness of four months. He was a self-employed cabinetmaker and carpenter contractor. Dombach was a member of Salome United Methodist Church, Columbia, which he constructed, and the men's Bible class of the Sunday School. Dombach was the husband of Charlotte Bard Smith Dombach and the late Louise Demy Dombach. Dombach was a member of Columbia Lodge 286, Free and Accepted Masons; Valley of Harrisburg, Scottish Rite; Corinthian Royal Arch Chapter 224, and the Craftsmen's Club.
Born in Manor Township, he was a son of the late Amos and Mary Witmer Dombach. In addition to his widow, he is survived by three daughters, Ella Louise, wife of Eugene Altland, Mount Joy; Ruth D., wife of Charles E. Weigel Sr., and Esther, wife of Harold Albright, both of Columbia; a son, Richard D., Lancaster; three step-daughters, Phyllis, wife of Robert Keck, Mountville; Alice, wife of Joseph Copeland, Atlanta, Ga., and Eleanor, wife of Mervin Zeamer, Columbia. Also surviving are two stepsons, Paul R. Smith, Maytown, and Gregory Lee Smith, Columbia; 29 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Laura Jackson, Harrisburg; Mrs. Anna Ebersole, Elizabethtown, and Ella, wife of Frank Yorty, Hummelstown.
